Brantley Silent Again

Max Brantley, venerable editor of our local liberal propaganda paper, the Arkansas Times, is always eager to print stories that show that we're losing in Iraq, so I'm surprised that he didn't quote the Baghdad Diarist, an supposedly anonymous soldier in Iraq who has written exposes of the barbarism of American soldiers for the New Republic, another liberal propaganda rag.
In the face of gathering evidence that the Surge is succeeding, it has also come to light that military sources have demonstrated serious inaccuracies of the Baghdad Diarist, which have led many to suggest that he is indeed a fraud. No word on this from Max, though. That's funny. He's been eager to trumpet every bit of bad news he can get his hands on our struggle against terrorism. He often eagerly decries any good news as propaganda. So when it becomes apparent that liberals have been manufacturing news it's no surprise that Max hasn't said a word about it.
