Death Penalty Commission Ballot Initiative? Bring It On

A group of anti-justice activists has vowed to put forth a ballot initiative if Gov. Beebe doesn't create a commission to study the death penalty.

I will venture a guess that Gov. Beebe isn't going to waste his time on such a frivolous pursuit. Although I believe he probably sincerely supports the death penalty, he's also not dumb. The people of Arkansas overwhelmingly support it.

As for putting an initiative on the ballot, I say, go right ahead. I doubt it will get 30% of the vote.
