Huckabee Groupies vs. the People Who Know Him
What's with all the people who don't know Huckabee defending him like they do?There seem to be a lot of people who are more interested in what Huckabee says on TV than what he did when he was in power. They defend him like they've even met him and act like those of us who have known him for more than a decade don't have any way to know what we're talking about.
If you look at the blogs defending Huckabee on Lucas Roebuck's blog, almost none of them are by people who are from Arkansas. I know this seems like a strange complaint. The real problem is that they're so quick to discard the advice of people who have known Huckabee for a long time. A friend recently noted that the atmosphere in Arkansas was electric when Bill Clinton was running for president. I recalled how sick it made me feel. But when you juxtapose that reality with the non-existence of excitement for Huckabee in Arkansas you have to wonder why.
The fact is there are almost no current or former Republican legislators who support Huckabee. Why would that be? Those of us in Arkansas ought to be his biggest fans, right? Maybe it's because we know something.

I hate staged, political pictures that try to make the candidate look like he is "one of the people".
