The conservative authority has spoken, so let's see how Huckabee's supporters spin this. Maybe the Kucinich UFO defense or perhaps "I cut taxes 94 times" or "I know you think it's me, but it's not". Naw I've got it--it's a conspiracy by Fred "Steve" Romiani.

GREAT PICTURE!!!

It's too late for Huckabee. He's already dug his political grave with taxes and spending!!! I know. I've been paying for them for the last 11 years.

This sentence is the best summary of Huck's management style that I have seen in the national press:

"Unfortunately, what Huckabee offers by way of solutions is a mixture of populism and big-government liberalism; the common theme of his policies is that they are half-baked. If an ill-considered slogan can be used to justify a policy, he is for it."

Headline management, poll management and Dick Morris triangulation trump policy analysis. Make the policy fit the slogan. Get a good slogan, and it must be good policy.

This is the last thing on earth (maybe even including Hillary) that we need in a president.
