Thompson's Pro-Life Position
Fred's is far more realistic than Huck's position, which is an all or nothing position, requiring a 2/3s majority in both Houses of Congress (a minimum of 357 votes-67 in the senate, impossible, and 290 in the house, also impossible, and 3/4s of the state legislatures (37 states, also very impossible). But, hey, Huck doesn't really think he'll accomplish that any more than passing the Fair Tax. He's just shilling for votes.

Fred is a Fraud. He too is just saying things to get elected, although I get the sense by his lackluster performance that he has absolutely no desire to win, almost like he was forced to run. The reason true Pro-Lifers stay away from Fraud Thompson is because he was once a lobbyist for a pro-abortion group.
I agree that the constitutional amendment is the wrong route to take. They should have passed the Sanctity of Life Act which defines life at conception and would have nullified Roe v Wade immediately, but most politicians don't really want to fix a hot button issue like abortion because it gets them votes each election.
The author of the Sanctity of Life Act was not a politician however, but a statesman. That statesman is none other than Dr. Ron Paul, an OB-GYN and the only true Pro-Life candidate for President.
Dead-Head-Fred's commitment to the pro-life movement is as solid as his record for church attendance. Zilch!
He refused to support a "right to life" amendment on Meet the Press in November, even when Russert reminded him it is part of the GOP PLANK!
Thompson's a worthless tool... Don't vote for Jeri, or her husband.
I guess neither of these commenters, who are probably the same person, cares to read the link or the excellent commentary pointing out that it is NOT POSSIBLE to pass a constitutional ban on abortion, so demanding that as the only choice will only lead to more abortions
