...Governor Huckabee, You're No Reagan...: Pinkerton's Folly

"Huckabee, like Reagan, wouldn't be an 'easy kill'"
So reads the headline of this recent piece by Jim Pinkerton. Unfortunately, for Mr. Pinkerton's analysis, there was more to President Reagan than charm. He was a real, substantive conservative, not a liberal pretending to be one, attempting to redefine liberalism as conservatism.
As for the comparison of communication abilities, Reagan was not a glib, smart alek politician. He was an elegant statesman.
Reagan was larger than life, but never thought he was too good for anyone. Huckabee is a small, petty man who will fade from our memories as soon as his last joke sinks to the floor.
It wasn't just Reagan's words that were golden. It was his word that was gold.
Contrast that with Mike Huckabee, who is a silver-tongued devil, literally, at best, a cheap knock-off of a golden-voiced saint.
I do occasionally enjoy Pinkerton's opinions on Fox News, but as someone who actually knows Mike Huckabee, the real Mike Huckabee, I have to disagree with him, politely.
Huckabee is no Reagan.

No, it's not.

You might as well say don't be upset that Hillary is going to win.
