"My daughter won't be home for Christmas..."

The most devastating Huckabee video I have ever seen:

HOLY COW. That is heartwrenching.

Huckabee's bad judgment and feelgoodery cost that poor girl her life.

I can't believe I ever thought about voting for that jerk. Now he's trying to act like she never existed.

Shame.

As if there wasn't enough reason not to vote for Huckabee, that's the first time I've cried in a long, long time---definitely the first time I've cried over a youtube video.

I'll be saying a prayer for that sweet lady this Christmas. I'm glad that I saw the real Mr. Huckbee before I went any farther in my support for him. I can't support a man who cares more about a brutal rapist than an innocent girl.

Mike Huckabee won't even apologize for or admit to his role in the release of this vicious killer.

No Huckabee defenders, yet. I wonder if they just haven't gotten their talking points yet or if they can't bring themselves to defend this sickening truth.

DuMond became another part of the "Get Clinton" mania of the '90s - White Water, Vince Foster, etc - in 1980 he raped a girl who turned out to be a very distant cousin of then governor of Arkansas Bill Clinton.
The mythology consucted around this (by the Murdoch owned New York Post) was that Clinton railroaded DuMond: that there was no substantial evidence, that the victim didn't identify DuMond in the line up, that DuMond was an honorable war veteran and never before committed a crime (actually he had a string of convictions in the 1970s for violent acts and got off on a murder rap by squealing on the co-accused and as for honorable war veteran well he proudly boasted of taking part in the massacre of a Cambodian village), Clinton subsequently interfered with the parol process in the 1990s, and so on.
Huckabee was just riding the crest of a wave.
