Soft on Crime---Glen Green: Another Brutal Murderer For Whom Huck Had More Compassion Than For Their Victim

Gov. Huckabee probably never read the confession of a demented killer named Glen Green before he made the monster eligible for parole.

Green's confession is so depraved, its sadistic details so scary that no sane, responsible adult would consider him for parole.

If the governor didn't read the confession, he is guilty of dereliction of duty.

But if he read the confession and still considers Green deserving of parole, he's certainly unfit to hold office. Who would free a madman who beat an 18-year-old woman with Chinese martial-arts sticks, raped her as she barely clung to life, ran over her with his car, then dumped her in the bayou, her hand reaching up, as if begging for mercy?

I hadn't even heard of Glen Green. It doesn't surprise me, though. Mike Huckabee has a serious flaw in his theology which causes or allows him to be more interested in the here and now than in justice. He's more interested in how friendly and sincere a brutal murderer seems than in the importance of justice.

By the way, I've been asked by a many of you what the blurb says at the bottom of Huck's latest book cover. It reads,

"If it weren't for Mike Huckabee, I wouldn't have been able to walk free. He went to bat for me with the parole board and let them know who was boss."

DuMond didn't really say that. But I'm sure he appreciated Huck's compassion. As for the girls DuMond raped and murdered and their families, not so much.
