Final State of the Union Address from President Bush
The president just finished his final State of the Union Address, reminding me that he has less than one year left in office. It seems to have passed by so quickly. Many, mostly liberal democrats, will rejoice at his departure. Some, mostly those in uniform, are not gleeful at his departure, considering the odds that Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama could be the next president. As for his speech, I don't think it will be long remembered. It was mostly a programatic speech, not thematic. But otherwise it may mark the end of an era, an era when America is the bold leader of the Free World. Many of my friends complain, but they cannot fathom what the world would be like with Hillary or Obama as president if another 9-11 were to happen. We are safer today because of President Bush.
Democrat Response
At this moment Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius is giving a stupid democrat response, bemoaning the supposed malaise in the economy. She claimed that she's not going to be partisan, but after a laundry list of democrat talking points, she is getting around to the part about how meaningless the sacrifice of our servicemen is. What a waste of space.
