Of course our President should be concerned about how other countries view us. We are not by any means the only country in the world and we are very much reliant on the global economy.
Also, it's bullshit to say that we aren't accountable for our actions and the effect they have on our environment just because we've "earned" all the tools to damage it as much as we like. And by the way, whether or not global warming exists, we do damage our environment by burning up the earth's resources.
