Tom Cotton: Arkansas Soldier Re-Ups; Continues to Sacrifice Lucrative Law Career
On this September 11th, I'm proud to bring you the story of an extraordinary American (and Arkansan). Tom Cotton (not the father-in-law of Sam Gamgee) first drew national attention when he wrote an open letter, while serving in Iraq, chastising the New York Times for its treasonous (my word) exposure of efforts to expose an American operation to seize the funds of terrorists.
Now Captain Cotton, USA, has re-upped to serve in Afghanistan. Cotton, a Dardanelle native, resigned from a prestigious law firm after September 11, 2001 to pursue a commission in the U.S. Army, as an infantry platoon commander.
I'm proud to have met Captain Cotton on a few occasions just before he shipped out. He's one Arkansan of whom we can all be proud.
Here's the link.
