Arkansas: Time for Turtle Severance Tax?

Arkansas is the Natural State and one of our greatest natural resources is our population of turtles. According to a recent article from AP, greedy turtle producers are exploiting and exporting this natural precious resource, shipping these friendly, shelled reptiles out of the state at record numbers.

It's high time we put a stop to this greedy profiteering and establish a severance tax on turtles. We can't wait till the next General Assembly to remedy this exploitation. The governor must call a special session to deal with this, ASAP!
