McCain FOR Amnesty, AGAIN!!!

He lied to us to win our nomination, claiming that he had learned his lesson about amnesty. He can count on us, many of us, to stay home.

Here are some of "God's children" as Senator McCain likes to describe illegal aliens. Who needs borders, anyway?

Jim Miranda, Illegal Alien Advocate Extraordinaire, "Okay" With Prohibiting Illegal Aliens From Receiving In-State Tuition

Like he had a choice. He has to provide cover for Governor Beebe, who shot himself in the foot when he had to backtrack on his claim that the Secure Arkansas ballot initiative was unnecessary.

Either way, this is a huge victory for Secure Arkansas and opponents of illegal immigration. They forced the governor to do something that he definitely didn't want to do.

Democrats Are the Reason Oil Prices Are High

Apparently, according to Chuck Schumer, drilling in Anwar will only lower the cost of oil by 1 penny... Increased production in the Middle East will lower the cost by $25 per barrel.

McClellan's Disloyalty

I spoke with a former advisor to President Bush earlier about what they thought of Scott McClellan's new book. Needless to say, they weren't impressed with the tenuous position McClellan's put himself in. I'd add my thoughts, but this pretty well says it all:
"I haven't read the book but it appears to be a book written out of anger for being fired. What has he accomplished ultimately? He has provided no real new information. He has shown himself to be disloyal. All for a little money that will be spent in two years. Not smart for a guy who will have to live in Texas with the President for years to come."

Obama Worried About How American Lifestyle Is Viewed By Other Countries

"'We can't drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times ... and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK,' Obama said."

This is terrifying. What kind of AMERICAN president would care what some other country thinks about us enjoying the lifestyles WE'VE EARNED!!!?

Griffin Rumors

Rumors have been circulating that former U.S. Attorney Tim Griffin was moving back to Washington, D.C. to serve as RNC Research Director. I've checked a few sources and it turned out not to be true. Griffin has apparently spoken with the McCain campaign about serving as a senior advisor for communications but decided not to pursue the position, deciding instead to sit out this cycle to focus on his family and building his new law firm and public affairs business.

Also, rumors have been circulating that Griffin was involved with the Swiftboat attacks that sunk John Kerry. My sources tell me that definitely isn't the case. Democrats are desperate for a boogieman, I guess.

David Sanders has a very interesting column about the Griffin hubbub.

Huck Didn't Major in Math

Thanks to Max for drawing my attention to this Huckabee interview where he claims he'd be the Republican nominee if only our rules were like the democrat rules. He's eternally optimistic where his ambitions are concerned so he conveniently assumed that Romney, who was way ahead of Huck when he dropped out, still would've dropped out.

Huck's right that McCain wouldn't be our nominee. I'm not sure how Huck thinks he's gonna get McCain to make him his #2 as by insulting him. In that scenario, though, Huck wouldn't be the nominee. Romney would, by a mile, or somebody else who might not have dropped out.

Tennessee Discriminating Against Homeschooled High School Graduates

Even if you have a college degree or more, don't bother applying for a government job in Tennessee if you have a homeschool high school diploma.

I don't expect this to last long in Tennessee, but it demonstrates the depth of disdain elitists have toward homeschoolers, which is ironic since homeschoolers are the actual academic elites of our country.

Hillary: Cutting Taxes Has To Be "Paid For"...Raising Taxes Doesn't Have to Be Paid For, Though...?

"Senator McCain said let's give everybody a gas tax holiday but doesn't want to pay for it. I think I've got the best plan. Let the oil companies pay it out of their excess profits," she said.

This concept in government budgeting is called being revenue neutral. As usual, democrats, as shown by Hillary, are only interested in being revenue neutral with government budgets. It never crossed their mind to be revenue neutral with taxpayer budgets. When's the last time you heard a politician say, if we're gonna raise this tax, we have to make sure it's revenue neutral for the taxpayer, i.e. "we have to pay for it"? You never hear it.

Politicians don't think that way. Revenue neutral only exists in terms of "government" money to them.

Subsidizing Ethanol Putting Pinch on Other Farmers

Arkansas catfish producers are feeling the pinch of rising grain prices as the government continues to subsidize ethanol production. At last count, there were 4 gas stations in Arkansas that sell E85 fuel. That's some reward for how much we spend on subsidizing the fuel. In the meantime cattle ranchers and catfish farmers, among many others, are struggling to keep up. That's government running the economy for ya.

Gov. Beebe Suggests Cutting State Employee Travel to Save Money Because of Rising Fuel Costs

Here's a question: if the state can operate with less traveling, why didn't he stop wasting our money sooner? While I'm on the subject, why not help out Arkansas taxpayers by giving us a budget increase? The state government could do with less, couldn't it? I know Arkansas taxpayers would love to keep more of their money to help relieve tight budgets.

Typical Huckabee...Says One Thing, Does Another

Huck says he wants to be McCain's #2 one minute. But he's out shooting himself in the foot with his stupid comment about someone shooting Obama the next.
It kinda reminds me of his claims of being a conservative while ignoring his actions which were those of a liberal. Having raised our taxes, on net, by more than half a billion dollars and overseen the greatest expansion of government in Arkansas history, you'd think he'd just own up to the fact that he's a fiscal liberal.

Top Congressional Democrat Calls For Federal Government To "Socialize" Oil Companies

I guess she thinks the federal government could run the oil companies like it runs Social Security...

I love how the Congressmen beside her can't help but laugh uncomfortably at the end because they know she's just shown what democrats really think.

Jim Miranda...Media Darling, Proponent of Illegal Immigration...Not "Immigration Advocate"

How much more positive, free press is the media going to give Jim Miranda? The stories keep coming.

"Immigration advocate"? That seems to be the accepted nomenclature to describe people who advocate no enforcement of laws involving illegal immigration. Mr. Miranda knows the difference between legal and illegal immigration, but the media is giving him a pass and accepting his deceptive description.

Miranda and his ilk are advocating the thwarting of American sovereignty and calling it racism is specious and demeaning to the debate. It's not a big surprise considering that he is already being deceptive leaving out the term illegal.

Missouri Car Dealership Giving Away Handguns to Car Buyers

This isn't a joke and it's AWESOME. Despite liberal claims that more guns equal more crime, I'll lay odds that there won't be a crazy shootout as a result of law-abiding Americans exercising their constitutional right.

This is the actual ad from the dealership, Max Motors of Butler, MO.

Democrats (Who Have Stopped Increased Domestic Production) Now Plan to Sue OPEC Over Oil Prices

Talk about feeble efforts. In what court of law do they expect to hold accountable a multi-national cartel?

The real slap in the face is the fact that it is democrats who are the reason why we're in this position to begin with and why we remain here. We have more untapped oil our own country than Saudi Arabia and haven't built a refinery in 30 years, all because of democrat allegiance to the radical environmentalist agenda. The democrat party and environmentalism are the reason why it costs us nearly $4/gallon every time we fill up. And they posture and beat their chests as if it's the fault of anybody else.

Victory For Arkansans Against Illegal Immigration/Embarrassment for Governor Beebe

Just last night I posted the story showing that Governor Beebe was wrong (or lying) when he claimed that Arkansas doesn't spend any taxpayer money on illegal aliens.

Almost immediately after that article, he issued an executive order calling for Arkansas's universities to cease giving scholarships to illegal aliens.

This is a HUGE embarrassment for the governor. It's also a HUGE victory for those of us who value our nation's sovereignty and don't want our money to be used to reward illegal immigration. You can rest assured that the governor wasn't happy about this embarrassment or having to take this measure. He's illustrating how out of touch he is with the average Arkansan.

EMBARRASSMENT...AP: "Beebe's stance on illegal immigration measure has holes"

Thanks to Jon Gambrell of the Associated Press for his thorough look at the flaws in Gov. Beebe's claims that the immigration ballot initiative is redundant with state and federal law. There are several problems with Beebe's claims and this article highlights a number of them.

Beebe is, as usual, trying to have it both ways. He can make opponents of the initiative happy by opposing it while sounding like he is opposed to illegal immigration to make the vast majority of the state happy. The problem is he's not shooting straight with the people of Arkansas when he claims his opposition to this initiative, which will deny welfare benefits and other taxpayer-funded benefits to illegal aliens, is because it is unnecessary and redundant.

Read the article on the link to see a nice list of the problems with Beebe's political posturing.

Linda Bisbee: 527 Targeting Husband, Was "Double Punch" That Knocked Her Out

This was a nice turn of events. According to Linda Bisbee, a 527 which distributed mailers publicizing her husband's liberal record was a two-for-one that knocked her out of the race.

Sadly, she wasn't the only spouse who didn't win their race. It's good that she loss, but Vickey Boozman, who would've been a real asset to the Caucus, also lost, which is a sad turn of events.

Here's the link.

Democrat Crossovers in Benton County Illustrate the Power of Minorities...Hopefully Our Caucus Is Paying Attention

This is especially important to remember after given Max Brantley's piece of wishful thinking that there is a sea change in the Republican party, based on Tuesday's results.

Tim Summers and Mary Lou Slinkard owe their elections to democrats crossing over into the Republican primary in Benton County. We'll have a definitive number after the list of primary voters is released, showing who voted in the democrat presidential primary and then voted in the Republican primary Tuesday.

Max seems to think this is a triumph of moderate Republicans over conservative Republicans because Republican primary voters are fed up with conservatives. I wonder what Max will say when the voter lists show how large the democrat crossover was. The margin would've been huge in the direction of conservative candidates if it hadn't been for the heavy democrat crossover.

Now, on to the Caucus: if there ever was an example of what a very small number of people can do to shake things up, this is it. 300-400 democrats voting, representing 10-20% of the vote in these races, ushered in 2 more liberals as Republicans. If our caucus would unify behind a conservative agenda, we could be a force to be reckoned with. Unfortunately, democrats crossing over have handed us another batch of liberal RINOs to deal with for the next 2 years.

Prince Charles: A Royal, Idiot

I haven't been shy about praising the valor of his youngest son, Prince Harry. Prince Charles, however, has allowed himself to become a useful idiot for environmentalist propagandists, claiming that we only have 18 months to stop GLOBAL WARMING!!!. Of course, he's ignoring the overwhelming scientific evidence that it is a hoax. He's also ignoring that fellow stooges have been saying that we're running out of time for decades, at least going back to the coming ice age of the 1970s.

Michael Moore to Make Fahrenheit Sequel

"They weren’t told the truth. We’re communicators and it’s up to us to start doing it now," said Moore. I don't think he's talking about his first movie. It's too bad, though, because it was chock full of lies.

Moore, the famous leftwing propagandist, is now more famous than Nazi Joseph Goebbels, who previously was the most famous propagandist in the world. As a refresher, here are some of the many lies in Moore's first effort. I assume he isn't going to correct any of them.

Here's an interesting statement by Moore: "I don’t know why we are making so much of an act of terror. It is three times more likely that you will be struck by lightning than die from an act of terror."

First of all, that's not true. According to the Center for Disease Control, over a 15 year period, between 1980 and 1995, only 1318 people died from lightning strikes. Aside from the fact that this is an outright lie, Moore's assertion is positively stupendous. Should we not hunt down murderers because people are a hundred or even a million times more likely to die of natural causes?

This is Moore's modus operandi, though. Most of his acolytes don't care if what he says is true. They want to believe what he says so they don't bother to check it out and lash out at people who present overwhelming evidence that Moore is a big, fat liar.

EXCLUSIVE: Mailers Bisbee's So Upset About

Use of Bisbee's Liberal Voting Record Unfair...WAAAHHH

I love it. Dave Bisbee is actually drawing attention to the fact that he's a liberal. He doesn't like that conservatives would point out that he's voted for more taxes than most democrats, opposed pro-life legislation, and opposed efforts to curb illegal immigration.

Maybe he should've thought of that before he raised our taxes. Maybe we think it's unfair that we all have higher taxes because he enabled democrats and other RINOs to raise our taxes and opposed efforts to curb illegal immigration.

He's really worried that voters might misinterpret his resolution to encourage congress to naturalize illegal aliens when they turn 18. How could we misinterpret that?

Judas?

While I disagree with Pennartz voting to raise utility rates, I hardly think the use of the moniker "Judas" is warranted. For one thing, as strongly as anybody might oppose tax and rate hikes, me more than most, it pales by huge orders of magnitude to betraying our Savior. Here's the link.

CA Supreme Court Overturns Gay Marriage Ban...Opens Door To Other Kinds of Marriage (Incest, Polygamy)???

I was sent this video earlier today. Given the logic of the Europeans, as pointed out by the reader who sent it to me, I'd say it makes perfect sense that this won't stop at gay "marriage". That's especially true after reading this portion of the California Supreme Court's decision:

"One of the core elements embodied in the state constitutional right to marry is the right of an individual and a couple to have their own official family relationship accorded respect and dignity equal to that accorded the family relationships of other couples," wrote Chief Justice Ronald M. George, joined by Justices Joyce L. Kennard, Kathryn Mickle Werdegar and Carlos Moreno.

Notice that they don't specify what kind of individual or couple, father/daughter, brother/sister... They also don't offer any argument why it has to stop at a "couple".

Historian Paul Johnson: "Glad Bush is Still Around"

That makes one historian who doesn't hate the president. Paul Johnson was already my favorite historian before this. Now, I like him even more. For those of you who doubt the value of the president, check Mr. Johnson's column for Forbes.

"It's true that more than 4,000 U.S. servicemen and -women have been killed in this five-year conflict. But considering the extent of the operations, the importance of the war and the threat to the U.S. populace posed by these terrorists, this total is small. In World War I up to 60,000 casualties were inflicted in a single day. And there were many occasions during World War II when the U.S. and Britain lost more than 4,000 men in a one-day operation.

"On the other hand, the number of Muslim fanatics who have been killed by the Allies in their operations or who have killed each other in Sunni-Shia clashes must be reckoned in the hundreds of thousands. We shall never know the true tally, but it is plainly enormous."

The boldnes of this column is refreshing. There are no half measured defenses of President Bush. Johnson very plainly sets out the virtues of President Bush's term in office and his deep, unwavering courage and character in the face not only of vicious and merciless terrorists but of fierce opposition from some of the very people who are safer because of his resoluteness.

Tom Raley, RINO-Sherwood Vs. Steven Meckfessel, R-Sherwood

The following is from a reader.

---
Regarding the Republican Primary in House District 43 (Sherwood) here is some information about Tom Raley:

He supports making seat belt laws a primary offense (on his push card).

He wants to restrict anyone under the age of 16 from driving ATV’s (on his push card).

According to the Family Council survey:

He opposes the death penalty.

He supports additional hate crime legislation.

He does not believe college students should be allowed to defend themselves on campuses, i.e. opposes adding college campuses to the list of places where holders of concealed carry gun permits may legally carry firearms.

He does not believe money in the state surplus should be given back to taxpayers, but rather believes all the money should be used for government programs and additional spending.

His primary issue – the one he wants to focus on and always talks about - is foster care, which I think we can agree is important, however it is not the issue that will allow us to take this seat in the fall from the Democrats.

His primary opponent Steven Meckfessel’s main issues are:

Reducing the Tax burden on Families, Being an Advocate for Small business, Cutting Government Spending, and ensuring that Arkansas does not become a safe haven state for illegal immigrants by passing the same reforms that Oklahoma did. He also will fight to protect the unborn and believes state government should work to reduce crime and devote resources towards that issue and away from unnecessary spending.

Meckfessel is quoted on that issue in a recent mail piece saying “Our state government seems to put more focus on finding ways to raise taxes than finding ways to reduce crime and that needs to change.” Steven is an NRA member, local small business owner, longtime Sherwood resident, a member of the Pulaski County Republican Committee, and a self identified Conservative.

Candidate Mary Lou Slinkard, Republican?

The following is a sampling of Mary Lou Slinkard's responses to Family Counsel's biennial candidate survey.

The last part includes word for word answers from Slinkard and her opponent who appears to be a real conservative. Note her use of the term "progressive" to describe states we should emulate. Is this a Freudian slip on her part or does she really not know what that means. The dichotomy between these two candidates is striking. One, Byron Warren, answers as you would expect a conservative Republican to answer and the other, "progressive" Mary Lou Slinkard, answers as a "progressive" (liberal) RINO.

State Lottery - Undecided

Hate Crimes - Supports

2/3 vote to raise taxes - Undecided

Adding college campuses to the list of places where holders of concealed carry gun permits may legally carry firearms - Opposed

12. If Arkansas collects more taxes than needed, what should be done with the extra money?

Ms. Mary Lou Slinkard (R?): Since it would be a nightmare in trying to give back to the tax payers, any extra mo(n)ey should go into infrastructure, with truth and honesty of how the money is being spent, especially highways and transportation where the high traffic merits additional monies. Arkansas is far behind many progressive states in providing adequate roadways and needs of the airports. Also, bring state employees up to a competitive standard with other progressive states in order to have top quality educated and trained employees.

Mr. Byron Warren (R): First off, any surplus money should go back to the people because it is the tax payers' money not the governments'. And secondly, this should be followed up by immediate tax cuts.

13. How should Arkansas respond to our increasing population of immigrants?

Ms. Mary Lou Slinkard (R?): We need to have stronger enforcement against ILLEGAL immigrants. Federal government is the primary responsible agent for decisions on illegal immigration. States should not be required to pass independent legislation to enforce federal laws.

Mr. Byron Warren (R): I welcome anybody to the state of Arkansas that is here legally and plays by the rules. However, if you are here illegally, then you should be penalized to the fullest extent of the law. As your next legislator, I will vote to enact tougher illegal immigration laws on the state level.

Huckabee Lied About Cross in Ad

Thanks to Max for coming across (no pun intended) this story that the Huckabee campaign did place the Cross in the background of Huck's Christmas commercial intentionally.

Max left out that Huckabee lied about it. On numerous occasions he acted flabbergasted, claiming that it was just a bookshelf and was not intentional. Now, his former campaign manager Ed Rollins admits that it was preplanned. What does this say about Huckabee, that he would lie about a Cross?

I've already chronicled many of the "Christian candidate's" numerous lies. I hope, now, that some of my fellow evangelicals who supportered him can realize what a dishonest man he is. This is absolutely despicable.

Like I Said...Win Or Lose, We Lose...McCain to Speak to Racist, Reconquista Group La Raza Convention

I hardly have the stomach to write anything. It takes all of the fun out of Operation Chaos. La Raza, which means, literally, "the race", is a racist, pro-secession hispanic group. One of their goals to reconquer the American Southwest for Mexico or an independent hispanic country. McCain was glad to have them help write his immigration "reform" (amnesty) legislation.
If we didn't have troops in harm's way, I'm pretty sure I'd rather lose this election.

Ask and ye shall receive. I received this from an anonymous reader, Mr. Hazlitt, I presume. I have verified that it is the "hate mail" flier in question.

Follow the link below for a look at what a baby Dave Bisbee is. He actually called this factual and documented flier exposing his record "hate mail". I was really expecting something bad with a description like that. Instead I got this...

Bisbee Calls Flier Which Accurately Portrays His Record "Hate Mail"

This, I love. If anyone can get me a copy of this flier, I'd love to post it. I'm not surprised that Bisbee is upset. He loves to pretend he's a conservative at Republican meetings and raise taxes and spending in the Ledge.

The article describes Henry Hazlitt as being a dead man. I'm assuming that's not a threat. The Bisbees might mean it that way. The spirit of Henry Hazlitt is alive and well. Here's his blog:

Duggars...And Then There's This: Malthusian Pressure Not to Have More Than 2 Kids

How exactly are we going to replace our population, much less grow it, if everybody limited themselves to two children. The replacement rate is 2.1. That's exactly what social pressure is pushing for in too many communities. You have to believe that there's a reason for this. The indigenous population of Europe is under-breeding itself out of existence because of the stupid social pressure to adhere to new social norms. We don't want that to happen in America.
At least we have the Duggars making up for a few families under-reproducing.

Slick Willie Loses His Cool...What a Baby

303 U.S. Troops Died In First Gulf War...In 4 Days

We have now been in Iraq for over 1,875 days with just over 4,000 heroic and selfless young Americans giving their lives for the freedom of others. In the first Gulf War the average deaths per day were 75.75. The average per day in the current war is 2.13.

This is astonishing considering the complaints about the current war as if it is a high casualty conflict, when, in actuality, it is a remarkably low casualty conflict.

Of late, it has been increasingly rare to read the anti-American propaganda against the war. There's a pall over the anti-American, anti-war movement, a frustration that they can't seem to get anyone to root for our defeat when we're in the midst of victory. It's a little bit diffictult to do so since our boys are winning so soundly. All that to say, thank you, to our men in harm's way.

GLOBAL WARMING!!! Causes 1st (?) Cyclone in Burma (Algore Exploits Another Catastrophe As If It Was the First)

It rained today in Central Arkansas, which is, of course, a consequence of GLOBAL WARMING!!! As we all know, it never rained in Arkansas before manmade global warming, just as there was never a Cyclone in Burma before we destroyed the environment.

It's remarkable how Algore is able to blame every weather catastrophe and scattered thunderstorm on GLOBAL WARMING!!! I note that he didn't predict that GLOBAL WARMING!!! would cause more cyclones, as he did hurricanes (which never happened).

Personally, I'm looking forward to the lawsuits against his hoax.

Chicken Catcher/Democrat State House Candidate Disappointed in Beebe for Supporting Felony Animal Cruelty Legislation

Thomas Akin, D-Russellville, who is running for the state representative seat currently held by Rep. Michael Lamoureux, R-Russellville, said that he was disappointed that Gov. Beebe supports felony animal cruelty legislation while speaking to a meeting of the Cattlemen's Association.

Akin, whose occupation has been described to me as "chicken catcher", is likely to raise the ire of the governor who has recently expressed agreement with democrat party chairman Bill Gwatney that dissension isn't to be allowed in their ranks. It is quite ironic that someone with the job of "chicken catcher" would be opposed to cruelty to animals, or maybe not.

Beebe and Democrat Members of AR Delegation Oppose Budget Increase for AR Taxpayers...Say Govt Can't Afford Budget Cut...Despite $164 MILLION Surplus

You read that right, folks.

Again, the governor and his democrat comrades in our congressional delegation are demonstrating that they believe that we exist to fund government. With Arkansans struggling to make ends meet, they just can't part with a penny of our money. The state just can't afford to give us a budget increase. It can't take a budget cut. They oppose a gas tax holiday.

Meanwhile, the numbers are out that the state has a $164 MILLION surplus! Of course, they couldn't possibly use that for roads and encourage the federal government to suspend the gas tax...

Remember what I always say, democrats believe that we, the taxpayers, exist to fund government. That's why they always side with themselves when budgets are being decided. We always have to do without, either a budget increase (tax cut) or more of our money (tax increase). You see, the state just can't afford a budget cut. Somehow, hard working families can, though.

They spend who knows how much to give aways "free" gas cans and go over budget by more than 50% to build a new visitors' center at the Capitol, which cost us over $700,000 and wasn't an entire new building, by the way. All they did was add some lights, expand the gift shop, and do some millwork in the first floor of the Rotunda. Take a gander if you get a chance to go to the Capitol some time. Let me know if you see $700,000 worth of work there. I bet it's another case of lining some politician's family member's pocket.

Either way, these are just two examples of why the state can't do without OUR money.

Sanders on America's Greatness

David's column is an interesting look into the state of America in reference to other countries in the world. I've long contended that the degree to which America isn't stronger is in direct correlation to the degree to which liberalism has taken hold. Rush Limbaugh had similar thoughts this week. Enjoy both.

Here's the link to Sanders' column. Here's the link to Rush's analysis.

AG Approves Language for Immigration Ballot Initiative

Sorry I took so long to get this to you. As you all know by now, McDaniel has approved the language of the ballot title. He has accomplished on key goal, however, which is to reduce the amount of time available to gather the necessary signatures for the measure to succeed. It was going to be difficult enough with the limited financial resources available to Secure Arkansas but it will be much more difficult in the remaining time. It will be an uphill fight. With enthusiastic and organized leadership they can get enough signitures.

Once on the ballot, it will pass overwhelmingly, save for the very real possibility of a court challenge which the "Friendship" Coalition will surely mount. Their financial resources easily dwarf those of Secure Arkansas. If it gets to that point, support will, no doubt, arise.

Andrew DeMillo has the specifics for the AP.

Stock Up on Ammo

Unable to succeed in their quest to take our guns, liberals are now seeking to curtail our access to ammunition. Meanwhile Hillary is acting like she's pro-2nd Amendment. The democrats have gotten whacked lately for their gun control agenda. Now, they're trying to pretend that they don't support the 2nd Amendment. To accomplish their goals, though, they're going after our ammo.
Stock up.

Chilean Volcano Spews Ashes 20 Miles Into Atmosphere...You Wanna See Climate Change

Aside from other factors that are out of our control, look forward to some global cooling as a result of this massive volcanic eruption, which, like others, will leave particulate floating in our atmosphere and thicken cloud cover. Cloud cover, ocean temperatures, and solar activity, of course, drive climate far more than anything man could ever do. Keep your eyes peeled. We might actually get some truth about the climate ramifications of such a huge geologic event. Here's the link.

The Morning News Endorses RINOs Over Conservatives

Tim Summers and Linda Bisbee were the beneficiaries of endorsements from the Morning News.

To paraphrase the reaction a friend, they endorsed Linda Bisbee because she worked with her husband, but not Vickey Boozman, even though she worked with her husband.

Issues were not a consideration. Indeed, this was a remarkable stretch and offered the most shallow of reasons for and against the candidates discussed. I like the politician's wife equals experience theory. Surely that trumps legislative philosophy...surely. Who needs conservative principles when your husband was a legislator, which is funny considering Vickey Boozman wasn't endorsed.

Gambling With Someone Else's Money: Obama Promises to Punish Oil Industry

The one-upsmanship continues, well more like the five billion-upsmanship, that is. It's not surprising. Obama is a typical liberal.
First Hillary promised that she would "take" $10 BILLION from "the oil companies", now B. Hussein Obama is promising to take $15 BILLION. Maybe WE, the taxpayers, should take several hundred BILLION dollars from the federal government. Their revenue is at an all time high, too. It's amazing that you don't hear much about that.
People and politicians complain about the high price of gasoline, which people need for transportation. Meanwhile, there's nary a mention of the MUCH higher price of government.
This is enough to turn my stomach.

ACORN Endorsements: Who NOT To Vote For

Other than Ann McCaleb, there isn't one person on their list that you should vote for. This is especially true in the judge races, such as the race for LR district court, criminal division, Alice Lightle, and, LR environmental court, Mark Leverett. Both of those two are radical liberals.

Lightle was an attorney for the ACLU and is featured on LittleRockPride.com, which is apparently a local gay pride website. You'll love their gay rainbow, American flag picture. Her impressive liberal pedigree is on display there. She's also featured on VictoryFund.org, which is a LGBT PAC, it appears.

As for ACORN, they're about as radical left as it gets, so an endorsement is a notification to normal people who not to vote for.

Here's the link to the ArkTimes story about ACORN's endorsements.

Fast Food Tax...Mike Huckabee's Dream Come True

With the economy slowing Mike Huckabee supporters in New Jersey are proposing a tax on fast food. Apparently, they think the people of New Jersey can afford a budget cut and the government has to have more money. They also want to control the eating habits of people who are supposed to be free. This is tyrannical. Here's the link.

Linda Bisbee: "Laws don't make ethical lawmakers."...Why Have Laws, Then?

That glittering gem is a quote from RINO Dave Bisbee's wife, Linda, who is seeking to continue their dynasty as liberal "republicans" in response to a question about whether legislators should be able to receive gifts and lavish meals from lobbyists.

Why have any laws, at all, then? Why do we have ethics laws?

She further demonstrates her liberal tendencies in this article when she again rationalizes raising taxes, such as the severance tax, that it's okay since it will provide revenue for roads and supposedly won't raise costs for consumers. The same could be said of anything we dediced to tax at that level. For instance, corn and rice prices are at an all time high, as was natural gas. These greedy farmers are even getting subsidies. It's high time we raised a severance tax on corn and rice. Since they are sold on a national and international market they supposedly won't affect prices on Arkansas consumers and the money could go toward roads.

You can see how easy it would be to rationalize almost any tax increase. The fact is that conservatism isn't a word you throw around to get elected (well, it is for the Bisbees). It's a value system. Conservatives value freedom and entrepreneurship. We don't look at businesses as a source of revenue for the government. Would be "public servants" like Linda Bisbee view the public as servants of the government. It's crucial that we stop people like her from getting elected.

Did You Know Your Tax Dollars Go To Lease Luxury Cars for U.S. Congressmen? And They Can't Cut Taxes?

When asked about why he doesn't lease a less expensive car Democrat Congressman Charlie Rangel, NY, had the following to say:
"I could probably find something for ... one of those red cars and then I think my constituents would say, 'With all the money that he gets, this is the respect he shows us?'"
...
Really? Rangel feels like it shows us respect for him to drive a Cadillac that costs us $774 a month, plus insurance, registration, and GAS!!!
I did some checking and he's paying almost double the price quoted for a lease on a loaded Cadillac DeVille in Manhattan. Here's the link to that.

Baseline Budgeting Grows as Government Keeps Hiring

Greedy Natural Gas Company Posts $143 MILLION LOSS for 1st Quarter of '08

There are so many ways to go with this. One interesting twist is that they are selling off some of their holdings in Arkansas. Who can blame them? Other states are dying to have the kind of economic growth that we are experiencing. What do we do? We coerce them into agreeing to higher taxes. Why not? They're rich, greedy natural gas barons, right? Brilliant.

McDaniel's Feather Ruffled About Questions of Impartiality

Here's the link.

Huckabee: 1st He Defended Jeremiah Wright, Now Says He's a Liability for Obama

What a difference a month makes. First Mike Huckabee defended Barack Obama and his racist, anti-American pastor Jeremiah Wright. After all that effort, Huck now sees that it's politically popular to attack Wright.

Did Huckabee not hear clips of Wright's outrageous sermons when he defended them back in March? Is this like the case when Huckabee had several days to figure out the context of his Give Any Tax Speech that I brought you, you know, the one where he lied about in on Fox News, which I caught him on? Huck had plenty of time to hear Wright's many disturbing statements.

This is also like Huckabee being for taxes before he was against them.

Here's Huckabee defending Wright in March. Here's Huckabee attacking Wright this week.

Rising Grain Prices Make Ethanol Unattractive (Among Other Things)...Well, Duh

Here's a pop quiz: name ONE thing that is subsidized that doesn't increase in cost...
If you answered "nothing", then you win a shiney new banana.
Well, why does it come as a surprise that the cost of grain is skyrocketing when the government is subsidizing grain production? It's called inflation and it's caused by the government paying people to produce things that wouldn't otherwise be in demand.
Aside from the sharp increase in the price of grain, ethanol isn't very attractive for lots of other reasons. Let me name a few. 1. If you're not in Iowa, where are you gonna find an ethanol station? There are only four in Arkansas. 2. It decreases your gas mileage. 3. It decreases your vehicles horsepower.
