Pro-Abortion Snyder Expecting Triplets...Changing Mind on Abortion?

Not likely. The following is a from a release from Congressman Snyder.

"Please be advised that my wife Rev. Betsy Singleton is 10 ½ weeks pregnant with triplets. Obviously the pregnancy is still very early, but so far everything and everyone looks fine. We appreciate all the good thoughts and prayers now and in the weeks and months to come. And yes, we did say Triplets.”

Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but it appears that Snyder is referring to his triplets as people, not unviable tissue masses. 10 1/2 weeks is well within the first trimester. That being said, has he changed his view on abortion?

I really do want to congratulate the congressman, but I have to wonder about this apparent hypocrisy.

Brantley: It's the Supreme Court, Stupid

That's very true. It's important to consider what kind of justices Brantley wants on the court. Here's a few examples of the things his dream justices support: the abolition of the 2nd Amendment, protecting child rapists and terrorists.

Just a little something to consider when reading his accurate description that the Supreme Court is the most important issue in any presidential election.

Louisiana Responds to Supreme Court Pro-Child Rapist Decision: Castration

Heroes of the Left

Are you reading this, Max?

The judges you and your lib buddies support are in favor of rights for terrorists, rights for child rapists...but not for law abiding Americans?

The right of Americans to keep and bear arms is clearly enumerated in the Constitution and, somehow, liberals can't see it. Meanwhile, I still haven't found the part where it says that terrorist captured and detained overseas and child rapists have special rights...

Join the NRA

With their landmark victory yesterday in the supreme court it's high time I recommend that each and every one of you who cherishes freedom join the NRA. Also, I highly recommend you support our local organization, as well.

Drill Here, Drill Now, Pay Less! Sign the Petition

Yesterday, I was pleased to bring you the story that four brave leaders of our Republican Caucus were taking a stand on dealing with the out of control cost of fuel. I want to echo their sentiment by encouraging you to sign the petition, too. Here's the link.

Democrats in our own state have mocked these four. Like liberals around the country they're claiming that drilling in the U.S. won't help alleviate the problem, today. I'd like to know what they think will. Seems that their only solution is to raise taxes on oil companies (i.e. consumers). I'm not sure how they think that will do anything but raise prices. More on this later.

High Gas Prices: Common Sense From Arkansas's Republican Caucus Leaders

This is very encouraging. With gas prices at $4.00/gallon, it's time to demand action to increase supply. It's very good to see the leadership coming from our Republican Caucus leaders. Read their press release below.

---

LITTLE ROCK – Several Republican state representatives issued a joint statement today, recommending that the federal government take immediate action in order to lower the price of gasoline.

"We're approaching a scenario where $4.00 a gallon is a cheap price for gas. And when Congressional Democrats propose nationalizing our fuel industry or burdening it with increased taxes and wasteful mandates, they are kicking our economy when it's already down. The only way to lower the price of energy is to lower production barriers and inefficient mandates and thereby increase the number of energy suppliers," said Reps. Dan Greenberg, Bryan King, Roy Ragland, and Jon Woods.

"The USA is the only country in the world with access to proven oil reserves on its land and off its shores that refuses to take advantage of its resources. If we use reasonable environmental protection measures, technological advances could grant us access to over a trillion barrels of domestic oil – enough to meet our energy needs for a century – without relying on unstable foreign countries and greedy foreign cartels, and while preserving our environment for our future generations," the lawmakers said.

"We are just four of the one million Americans who have signed the pledge and support the "Drill Here, Drill Now, Pay Less" initiative (available online at www.AmericanSolutions.com/DrillNow), which supports the exploration of proven domestic energy reserves and reduces our dependence on unstable foreign countries," the lawmakers said. "We ask other citizens to sign this pledge, so that hard-working Arkansans won't get hit in the wallet every time they go to the gas station. We also believe we need to reduce impediments to energy production on a variety of fronts."

"First, we need to expedite the approval process for refineries. The last oil refinery was built during the Ford Administration; none have been built since because of a U.S. legal system that stifles progress and innovation and allows delay for almost any reason imaginable. We are currently forced to import refined fuel from other countries because of insufficient domestic refining capabilities. Second, we need to reduce or eliminate the wasteful biofuel mandates and requirements that are driving up both the price of food and the cost of fuel. The success we had in cutting the food tax last session has been offset by higher food prices, created by short-sighted government regulations, we see the results of every time we go through the grocery checkout line. Finally, we need to examine the successes of Western Europe that have been based on environmentally friendly nuclear power," the statement said.

"In short, these are much more palatable, serious, and productive solutions than the failed ideas currently on the table: higher taxes on energy companies, socializing energy production, and unsuccessfully begging Saudi Arabia to pump another half-million barrels of oil every day. We would be much better off increasing our own domestic production capacity, and we urge the federal government to take action on this front immediately," the statement said.

Ten Cannots

Rev. William J. H. Boetcker. an outspoken political conservative is perhaps best remembered for his authorship of a pamphlet entitled The Ten Cannots; originally published in 1916. The Ten Cannots" has been repeated many times, most notably by Ronald Reagan in a speech he gave at the 1992 Republican convention in Houston. I think we need to remember each and every one of them.

  • You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
  • You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
  • You cannot help little men by tearing down big men.
  • You cannot lift the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer.
  • You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.
  • You cannot establish sound security on borrowed money.
  • You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.
  • You cannot keep out of trouble by spending more than you earn.
  • You cannot build character and courage by destroying men's initiative and independence.
  • And you cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they can and should do for themselves.

Hey, I have an idea. How about Governor Beebe look for a way to increase the budgets of Arkansas taxpayers, instead. Nope, he can't do that. Obama: Muslim Call to Prayer "One of the Prettiest Sounds on Earth at Sunset", Chants Prayer in Arabic Accent

The following is from an email I received from a reader.

---

In a free-ranging interview with the New York Times, Obama described the Muslim call to prayer as "one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset." The Times' Nicholos Kristof wrote Obama recited, "with a first-class [Arabic] accent," the opening lines of the Muslim call to prayer. The first few lines of the call to prayer state:

"Allah is Supreme! Allah is Supreme!Allah is Supreme! Allah is Supreme!

I witness that there is no god but Allah

I witness that there is no god but Allah

I witness that Muhammad is his prophet... "

Hillary Supporters GONE WILD! (and Racist)

Was Iraq Worth It?

Here's a little perspective for all you brilliant Monday morning quarterbacks.

Here's the link.

Obama Thinks Terrorists Can Be Reasoned With

Responding to a speech given by President Bush to Israel's Knesset for Israel's 60th anniversary of independence, B. Hussein Obama repudiated the president's remarks that, like Nazis, terrorists can't be reasoned with. Here I thought Obama was the candidate of change. It sounds an awful lot like John F. Kerry's "more sensitive war", minus the war, of course. Obama apparently thinks terrorists can be reasoned with. This is exactly what we don't need in a president, someone who thinks there is something reasonable about vicious terrorists. The fact that he thinks they can be reasoned with proves what President Bush said, that such mindsets are no different than those of the people who tried to appease the Nazis. Add B. Hussein Obama to the hallowed halls occupied by the likes of Neville Chamberlain.

High Fuel Costs Draw Attention to Waste of Money From School Bus Boondoggle

I've been thinking about this lately. How often do you see a school bus with only a handful of kids riding? Almost every schoolbus I see is relatively empty. They get about 4 mpg, which is terrible considering how easily and economically they could be replaced with basic 15 passenger vans. Vans could easily accomplish what nearly empty school buses could more economically, not just based on fuel costs, but also based on how much less expensive vans are.

Unfortunately, Arkansas is the home of the Ward Bus Company. Don't get me wrong. I'm glad they're doing good business. There is a role for school buses, but we don't need nearly as many as we have. 90%+ could be replaced by 15 passenger vans, which could easily be outfitted with stops signs, et al.
This is one radioactive issue which will probably never be dealt with because of our state's allegiance to propping up certain favored business interests. So we, the taxpayers, will continue to foot the bill for a vastly inefficient school transportation system.

Obama Finally Quits Racist, Anti-American Church

Soooo, why exactly was Barack Hussein Obama a member of this vile, hate-filled church??? Since he apparently wasn't aware of his pastor's disgusting rhetoric are we to assume that he was there for the fellowship with the congregation. I'm sure raising your kids with people who hoot and holler for Wright's vile regurgitations of hatred is a great place for a family. Somehow, B. Hussein wasn't aware of Wright's hate preaching. I guess the congregation never told him about those sermons that had them on their feet and he was never there the 99.999999% of the time Wright was spewing this vile hate preach. Very believable.

Also, notice that B. Hussein is dumped this story on Saturday, a move designed to soften the blow, since it's the slowest news day of the week.

Record Low Turnout Due to Having Separate Presidential Primary

Arkansas taxpayers payed for two primaries, when we only needed one.

The reasoning, of course, was that we'd be more important if we moved our primary up to an earlier date. As we know, now, that didn't exactly work out. We just got saddled with the bill for 2 primaries and record low turnout for our non-presidential primaries.

It's time the state stopped wasting our money. We need to consolidate the presidential and regular primaries. We also need to stop wasting money on multiple special tax elections. These are designed for low turnout to maximize the possibility of raising our taxes, on top of costing too much when we could just hold them on regular election days.

Secure Arkansas Scores Major Win For Arkansans Who Oppose Illegal Immigration...Thanks to Governor Beebe

"All of the major provisions it proposes are already covered by federal or state laws, and this ballot title will create bigger government and cost Arkansans money..."

Well, maybe not, it turns out. Beebe was quickly dealt a devastating setback in his attempt to staunch the wildfire burning to stop our tax dollars from going to illegal aliens. It definitely wasn't the governor's intent to issue an order accomplishing one of the major goals of Secure Arkansas. But he just had to shoot off his mouth and, in turn, shoot himself in the foot. Thanks to his completely false statement that Secure Arkansas's initiative is already covered, which was quickly proved false, the governor was forced to take the action to stop the granting of in-state tuition to illegal aliens.

I'd say the most laughable part of his statement, but there were so many, but his statement that it would cost Arkansans money to stop spending their money on illegal aliens was positively embarrassing.

There are a couple of interesting pieces of analysis. On from Andrew DeMillo for the AP and another from Rob Moritz for the Arkansas News Bureau. Moritz's article goes into Beebe's assertion that many false social security numbers belong to people in the country legally. Of course he has no way to prove it, but he's trying to find a way not to kick a bunch of illegal aliens out of Arkansas's colleges.

I'd like to thank and congratulate Secure Arkansas for accomplishing this major feat. They forced the governor's hand. Many worked for a long time against former(!)-Governor Huckabee to accomplish this very goal and now our democrat governor has handed it to us on a silver platter. He's trying to worm his way out of it at this very moment, but this is a major setback, especially considering that illegal immigration advocate Jim Miranda was forced to say he supports stopping in-state tuition for illegal aliens. I'm sure he wasn't happy to say that.

Sarkozy Calls For Tax Cuts to Help Ease Slowdown

Too bad he isn't proposing it in America. This is being proposed in France of all places.
It's worth noting again that the democrats took Congress in 2006 with a promise to lower gas prices, which were around $2.20/gallon at the time. I don't know about you, but I'd love to pay $2.20/gallon at this point. I'd also love to have some of my liberal readers explain to me exactly what the democrats plan to do to lower gas prices. So far, they increased by over 70%. Don't sweat not answering. There isn't an answer. As usual, the dems were, at best, using empty rhetoric to get elected and, at worst, promising to "socialize" the oil industry.
