Tolbert Report: AG McDaniel's Conflict of Interest...This Is Good
I saw our illustrious AG at lunch this week, holding court like he was already governor. It's not surprising that he's also imperiously confident that he can get away with this massive conflict of interest in which he's now caught up.
I would not be surprised if he took a dive in his obligation to defend what was Initiated Act 1, which he opposed, in the coming legal dispute over it.
Jason Tolbert wrote an excellent post about it earlier this week and I am sorry I didn't get to it sooner.

Oh, McDaniel claims he's not going to recuse himself. Nice work, Jason. Keep it up.

Wonder why nobody has yet noticed the conflict of interest of Jay Bradford, who owns and insurance agency AND DOES BUSINESS WITH THE STATE, being appointed as the Insurance Commissioner. These Nick Wilson good ole boys are taking over and this kind of shady dealing is only the beginning.
"Protection money" from business in some places in Arkansas is just around the corner. I've been there, done that. I won't go through it again. I leave this God forsaken state.
The Governor says he is for the business and the economy, but starts this "Mike Beebe Commission on Global Warming.
The Attorney General claims one thing to voters, gets elected, does and donates just the opposite, and now claims that he will defend the will of the people against his own bias. If the voters of Arkansas can't see through that load of crap then they deserve the raping they are going to get by this criminal bunch of Democrats in office now.
